Free website for a worthy idea.

Call for proposals for free website design and programming.

What is this about?

FFF is an initiative of Fiktiv studio whose goal is to donate free websites to selected projects. In the long run, we would like FFF to grow into a multi-service platform through which companies could support worthy and interesting projects by providing them with free professional assistence annually.

Who are we?

Fiktiv is a group of young people specialized in visual and interactive communications. During the past decade we have worked with the leading Croatian organizations in culture, music, fashion and commerce, helping them build identities and brands, communication strategies, execute ad campaigns and produce interactive systems.

What's the point?

We want to help interesting organizations and projects obtain technically advanced and communicative websites which would improve their work process and its presentation. Of course, it’s also about us -- we would love to create something challenging and interesting ourselves, something that will, if only slightly, elevate the quality of communication on the Internet.

Who can participate?

The call is pretty much open. Companies, crafts, organizations, associations, groups, institutions and self-employed subjects (but not private individuals nor political parties) can send their proposals, regardless of their country of residence or the domain of their operations. We require that these organizations be active at least 6 months before the release of this Call and, for commercial projects, that Internet is not their primary medium of operation. Priority will be given to proposals which are challenging, innovative, specific and communicative.

How to apply

The proposals are accepted only through the online form at fff.fiktiv.hr. Before submitting, please prepare a short description of your desired website, basic information about your organization, and any relevant documentation that could help us evaluate and eventually select the project.

Selection process

We are going to carefully study all of your proposals and select three of them. For the winning project we will create and define the concept, design and technically produce the website -- completely free of charge and in cooperation with the winning project's team. The other two selected proposals will be considered in case that the production of the winning project’s website is cancelled for any reason.

Time frame

We are accepting proposals for cooperation from December 1 until January 15. The selected projects will be announced by February 1.

2010/2009

The plot thickens...

We've initiated FFF in December 2009 and anxiously waited for the applications which soon started coming in large numbers. With great interest we studied them all and after heated discussions decided to select Museum of Street Art as the idea most worthy supporting.

Museum of Street Art (MUU) is envisioned as a program of artistic revival of shabby urban spaces as well as selecting and promoting high-quality street art. MUU does not have a fixed address, working hours or regular curators. It's all about your town, the artistic interventions in it and their influence on the everyday life.

Museum's website was created as a platform for communication, development and partaking in creating, evaluating and promoting street arts. Using the site, the visitors can document and publish street art works in that way creating a unique museum which will continue to exist after the works disappear from the streets. Apart from enabling sharing the information on street art, the community platform invites the users to create own collections from works they really like, rate them and comment. By using available tools each visitor can become a curator of his own street art museum exhibition.
